Dr. Roice was born in a small town south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Phoenix in 1988 where she attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 1995, she continued on to veterinary school at Louisiana State University. Upon completion of Veterinary school in 2000, she worked for a small animal and exotic veterinary practice in Chicago for about a year, and then she returned to the beautiful skies and weather of Arizona.
Since returning to the valley, Dr Roice has gained valuable experience and skills by practicing as a relief veterinarian at several private hospitals and local emergency clinics. As the owner of Tatum Point Animal Hospital, she is eager to continue providing our patients with exceptional medical care, ranging from preventative health care to surgical and emergency services. Dr. Roice is also very dedicated to providing an enjoyable environment for pets, clients, and employees at Tatum Point Animal Hospital.
Dr. Roice is proud to serve as the President of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association for the 2010-2011 term. As President-Elect, Dr. Roice is active in the processes that shape the laws that govern the veterinary profession. In addition, as President she will ensure that the active association will continue to provide continuing education, community involvement, and camaraderie to the veterinary professionals in the state of Arizona.
When Dr. Roice is not at TPAH, she spends time with her husband, Mark, their daughters Alle and Maddie, and their dog, four cats, and two horses. Mark is an internal medicine doctor here in North Scottsdale and owns his own practice. Visit his website at www.nsmedicine.com. |

Vicky is an Arizona native with over 30 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine. She began her career at the age of 12 as a volunteer for her family veterinarian in Tempe. She advanced to assistant while in high school, and then earned the title of Veterinary Technician after graduating from high school. She qualified as a CVT in 1982.
Vicky brings a wealth of experience to TPAH. She has over 5 years experience in veterinary practice management in addition to her experience as a veterinary technician. Vicky also had the honor of serving as Chief Medical Investigator for the Arizona Veterinary Medical Examining Board for 4 years. Vicky was also a Senior Investigator for the Arizona Medical Board.
Vicky lives in Scottsdale. The nest is empty, as her two children are living on their own and attending college in Mesa. Caleb is currently exploring career options, but is very interested in some aspect of medicine. Brianna is active in soccer and hopes to pursue a career in Sports Medicine. The family has 6 dogs between them – 4 “littles” and 2 “bigs”. They also have a very patient cat and a corn snake named Darwin. |

Heather brings a vast amount of experience to TPAH. She has a Masters Degree in Physiology, and over 16 years experience in the veterinary field. Heather spent 10 years in San Diego as the head technician for a busy Internal Medicine practice. Heather is very involved in Diabetes Research, and is a noted speaker on the subject. Heather is passionate about providing the very best care for her patients, and keeps abreast of current therapies and developments in treatment options for our patients. Heather has 5 dogs, including Oliver, who has done modeling work for PetsMart and other companies. |

Hailey joined our team in August 2006. She moved to the valley from Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the age of four and has attended Cactus Shadows High School, Paradise Valley Community College, and recently graduated from ASU West with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences. Hailey’s future goal is to become a veterinarian and work with marine or exotic animals. She currently spends her free time with Angel, an Australian Shepard, Ellie, a yellow Lab, and three furry felines - Luckie, Pippen, and Oopsie Daisey. She is also active in providing assistance to an animal rescue group on the island of Belize. |

Desi moved to Arizona in 2009 from Idaho. Desi has a unique background in veterinary medicine, as both her father and brother are veterinarians in Idaho. Desi has grown up surrounded by and caring for animals of all kinds. Desi lives in Phoenix with her husband and Romey the Boxer dog and Bones the cat. Desi loves the outdoors and spends her spare time camping, skiing, snowboarding, and swimming. |

Brittany joined the TPAH team in October, 2007. She is currently attending Paradise Valley Community College, major as yet undetermined. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys shopping, playing with her pets, riding horses and hanging out with family and friends. Her furry friends include two cocker spaniels, Precious and Biscuit, and two cats, Sabrina and Chanel. |

Chris grew up right here in Scottsdale. Chris has begun a second career in veterinary medicine. His first career was as an EMT and firefighter for the Forest Service. Chris loves his pets, which are many. Dogs, rabbits, lizards, and a pair of Sugar Gliders named Jack and Diane are cherished members of his family. |

Matt is currently attending Paradise Valley Community College and hopes to pursue a career in film production. Matt’s family has always been involved with Arizona Beagle Rescue, so he has had a lot of experience in caring for animals. Matt is quite the movie buff, and can always be counted on to provide lively reviews of current box office favorites. |

Alicia moved to Phoenix in 2009 from Palm Springs, California. Alicia brings a real commitment to quality care for our clients. She has a real passion for her career in veterinary medicine and it shows in her sunny attitude. Alicia is fully committed to a vegan lifestyle and shares her home with six rambunctious ferrets. |

Virginia grew up in the White Mountains of Arizona and moved to the Phoenix area in 2008. Virginia has 9 years experience in the veterinary field as both a customer service professional and technician. Virginia has always has a passion for animals and ensuring they get great care. Virginia is married and has two small boys, plus Boston Terriers Dudley and Mel, a Dachshund named Homer, and Dusty the lone cat. Virginia’s family keeps her very busy, but she really enjoys spending time with all of them. |
